1. Standard Cancellation Period
7-Day Cooling-Off Window
Full refund available within 7 days of Order confirmation for:
Eligible Items:
Stock transformers (not in production) Quote consultation fees Service bookings (repair, AMC, oil testing) Technical consulting (GA drawings not approved)
Process:
Day 1-7: Email info@kaypeetransformers.com with Order number
Day 2: Receive refund confirmation
Day 7: Balance or Full amount credited (excluding shipping)
2. Custom Transformer Orders (No Refund)
After Production Starts
No refunds available once manufacturing begins:
Non-Refundable Stages:
GA drawings approved Core lamination cut Copper windings started Oil tank manufactur process 9-step process past Step 3
Why No Refunds:
- Custom BIS IS 1180 transformers built to your exact specs
- Copper prices fluctuate daily in Gujarat markets
- Labor costs non-recoverable after skilled work begins
- Factory materials cannot resell (custom product )
3. Stock Transformer Returns
Limited Return Window
7-day return for standard stock units only:
Returnable Items:
Control transformers (100VA-10kVA) LT transformers (1kVA-10kVA stock) Auto transformers (ready stock) Spare parts (bushings, conservators)
Condition Requirements:
Never energized Original packaging intact No scratches or damage All accessories complete Nameplate undamaged
4. Service Refunds
Repair, AMC, and Rental Rules
Transformer Repair:
Before Work Starts: 100% refund
After Diagnosis: 50% materials fee
After Repair Complete: No refund
AMC Contracts:
First Year: Cancel within 30 days → 80% refund
After 30 Days: No refund (preventive maintenance done)
Transformer Rentals:
Custom pricing as per the requirement. No refund on rentals.
5. Payment Processing and Timeline
How Refunds Work
Refund Methods:
Credit Card: 5-7 business days
Bank Transfer: 2-3 business days
UPI: 2-3 business days
Cash (Local): Same day at Kim factory
Non-Refundable Charges:
Shipping/delivery costs GST processing fees Engineering design time GA drawings preparation Documentation charges

– ₹15,000 shipping (non-refundable)
– ₹25,000 GST processing (non-refundable)
= ₹4,60,000 refundable amount
6. Damaged Goods Process
Manufacturing Defects (Under Warranty)
100% refund OR replacement if:
Covered Issues:
Factory manufacturing defects or Poor workmanship ONAN cooling radiator leaks will be repaired or replaced Tap switch malfunctions Oil tank manufacturing faults will be repaired Efficiency as per quotation

Day 1: Notify General Manager within 7 days of delivery
Day 3: Factory inspection confirms defect
Day 7: Refund issued OR Raw material replacement
